* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Portions of northwest North Carolina, including the following counties, Alleghany NC, Ashe and Wilkes and southwest Virginia, including the following county, Grayson. * WHEN...Until 545 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Overflowing poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 339 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated moderate to heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 3.5 inches of rain have fallen since late Sunday evening. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Brush Creek, Cove Creek, Beaverdam Creek, Cane Creek, Beaver Creek, Church Branch, East Prong Roaring River, Clear Branch, Bee Tree Branch, Crab Fork, Basin Creek, Darnell Creek and Bridle Creek. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
