Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...Portions of North Carolina, including the following
counties, Alleghany NC, Surry, Wilkes and Yadkin and southwest
Virginia, including the following county, Grayson.
* WHEN...Until 600 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Some low-water
crossings may become impassable. River or stream flows are
elevated.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 258 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported a bridge had
been washed out near Dobson. Minor flooding is already
occurring. Between 4 and 10 inches of rain have fallen.

Arnold Branch, Big Warrior Creek, Beaverdam Creek, Brush
Creek, Big Pine Creek, Big Bugaboo Creek, Big Sandy Creek,
Bussels Creek, Bee Tree Branch and Beaver Creek.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
When it is safe to do so, please send your reports of flooding,
including mudslides or flooded roads, to the National Weather
