Description:
At 1106 PM CDT, an area of strong thunderstorms was located from 11
miles north of Hazen Bay Recreation Area to 8 miles northwest of
Benedict, or from 12 miles west of Garrison to 21 miles south of
Minot, moving northeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Garrison, Max, Benedict, Douglas, Fort Stevenson State Park and
Emmet.
Instruction:
These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
