Description:
* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with high temperatures and heat
index values as high as 105 degrees.
* WHERE...McKenzie, McLean, Sheridan, Wells, and Foster Counties.
* WHEN...Until 10 PM CDT /9 PM MDT/ Tuesday evening.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Low temperatures will only fall to around 70
degrees tonight, providing little relief from the heat.
Instruction:
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
