Description:
At 655 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles southwest of
International Peace Garden, or 16 miles east of Bottineau, moving
east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Two inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Dunseith, International Peace Garden, Shell Valley, Thorne, Butte
St. Paul State Recreation Area and Turtle Mountain.
Instruction:
Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure
and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing
dangerous hail and damaging winds.
