Description:
* WHAT...For the Heat Advisory, heat index values up to 100. For the
Extreme Heat Warning, a prolonged period of dangerously hot
conditions with heat index values up to 106 expected.
* WHERE...Hancock, Lucas, and Wood Counties.
* WHEN...For the Heat Advisory, until noon EDT Tuesday. For the
Extreme Heat Warning, from noon Tuesday to 8 PM EDT Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events. A prolonged period of
dangerously hot and humid conditions with little overnight relief
is expected through the week, which will increase impacts to
vulnerable populations.
Instruction:
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
