Description: 
At 1125 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms have produced very heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.5 to 1 inch in 1 hour. Flash flooding is ongoing. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Eastern Oregon, Curtice, Williston, Reno Beach and Bono. Portions of Route 2 and State Route 579 are closed. Considerable flooding has been reported in Curtice.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Stay away from the flooded area. River banks and culverts can become unstable and unsafe. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.
