* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...Western Athens County in southeastern Ohio...
Northeastern Jackson County in southeastern Ohio...
Vinton County in southeastern Ohio...
* WHEN...Until 800 PM EDT Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is occurring. Sections of westbound lanes
of State Highway 50 remain closed within Vinton County due to
flooding. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not
be passable.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 132 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
between 3 and 4.5 inches of rain fell this morning.
- Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Mcarthur, Lake Hope State Park, Zaleski, Creola, Allensville and
Eagle Mills.
