Northeastern Woodward County in northwestern Oklahoma... * Until 1245 AM CDT. * At 1153 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 10 miles west of Alva to near Avard to 3 miles north of Waynoka, moving east at 35 mph. THESE ARE DESTRUCTIVE STORMS FOR AVARD, HOPETON, AND DACOMA. HAZARD...90 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...You are in a life-threatening situation. Flying debris may be deadly to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged or destroyed. Homes and businesses will have substantial roof and window damage.
