Description:
At 957 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 3 miles southeast of Willow to 6 miles northwest of
Blair to 7 miles northwest of Duke, moving east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and ping pong ball size hail.
SOURCE...Trained weather spotters. At 948 PM CDT, a 72 mph wind gust
was reported northeast of Mangum.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include...
Altus, Mangum, Granite, Blair, Lone Wolf, Martha, Willow, Friendship,
Altus Air Force Base, Duke, Warren, Brinkman, Hester, and
Altus-Lugert Lake.
