Description:
At 624 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 3 miles south of Cedar Vale to near Shidler to 5 miles
south of Ponca City, moving southeast at 45 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated. A 66 mph wind gust was recently reported
by the Newkirk Mesonet station, and a 61 mph gust was
reported at Ponca City at 6:07 PM.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.
