FFWCTP The National Weather Service in State College has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... Clearfield County in central Pennsylvania... * Until 1100 PM EDT. * At 750 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1.5 to 2.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... DuBois, Clearfield, Sandy, Woodland, Curwensville, Penfield, Hyde, Plymptonville, Rockton, S.B. Elliot State Park, Parker Dam State Park, Jeffries, Lecontes Mills, Morrisdale, West Decatur, Brisbin, Mahaffey, Grampian, Wallaceton and Troutville.
Instruction: 
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
