Description:
At 540 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Ligonier, or 10
miles southeast of Latrobe. This storm was nearly stationary.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Law enforcement reported numerous trees down between
Ligonier and Laurel Mountain.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Ligonier, Laurel Mountain and Laurel Mountain State Park.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm has produced damaging winds and is capable of
producing large hail.
