Description:
* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Northwestern Fairfield County in central South Carolina...
Newberry County in central South Carolina...
* WHEN...Until 130 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1030 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding.
Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.

Newberry, VC Summer Nuclear Station, Whitmire, Blair, Newberry
College, Newberry County Airport, Monticello, Pomaria, US-176 and
SC-34 Crossroads, Maybington Fire Station, Enoree Ranger District
Office, Henderson Island, Newberry County Detention Center, Bush
River Fire Station, Feasterville Fire Station and Belfast
Wildlife Management Area.

Instruction:
Most flooding deaths occur in vehicles. Never drive through a flooded
roadway or around barricades. Turn around, don't drown.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
