Description:
At 953 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Lake Carolina to 9 miles west of Oakland
to near Poinsett State Park. Movement was northeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Columbia, Sumter, Camden, Bishopville, South Sumter, Shaw Air Base,
Lake Wateree Dam, Kershaw, Heath Springs, Lugoff, Oakland, Mulberry,
Lake Carolina, Westville, Villages at Sandhill, Cassatt, Elliott,
Elgin, Lee State Park, and Mt Pisgah.
This includes Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile markers 80
and 125.
