Abbeville County in Upstate South Carolina... * Until 700 PM EDT. * At 600 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 5 miles north of Abbeville to 11 miles southwest of Greenwood, moving west at 20 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to trees and power lines. * Locations impacted include... Abbeville, Calhoun Falls, Lake Secession, Lowndesville, Richard B Russell Dam, Lake Russell, and Antreville.
Instruction: 
Brief damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines over small areas. A brief period of large hail is also possible. Seek shelter inside an interior room. If on or near Lake Secession or southern Lake Hartwell, get away from the water and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 15 miles from the parent thunderstorm.
