Description:
At 109 AM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 5 miles east of Wolf
Creek Housing, or 11 miles east of Pine Ridge, moving northeast at 40
mph.
HAZARD...Tennis ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Martin, Allen, Batesland, Swett, Wakpamni, LaCreek North Housing,
Sunrise Housing, Wolf Creek Housing, southern Yellow Bear Canyon,
southwestern Lacreek Wildlife Refuge and southeastern Pine Ridge
Reservation.
Instruction:
Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure
and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing
dangerous hail and damaging winds.
