Description:
At 549 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Canning to near Lake Sharpe to near West Bend Rec
Area, moving northeast at 70 mph.
THESE ARE DESTRUCTIVE STORMS FOR The JOE CREEK RECREATION AREA.
HAZARD...100 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Public. At 112 mph wind gusts were reported at 548 AM at
the Joe Creek Recreation Area.
IMPACT...You are in a life-threatening situation. Flying debris may
be deadly to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes
will be destroyed. Expect considerable damage to homes and
businesses. Expect extensive tree damage and power outages.

This is an EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION with tornado like wind
speeds expected. Mobile homes and high profile vehicles are
especially susceptible to winds of this magnitude and may be
overturned. For your protection move to an interior room on the
lowest floor of a building. These storms have the potential to cause
serious injury and significant property damage.
This is an EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION. These storms are producing
widespread wind damage across the warning area. SEEK SHELTER NOW
inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
