Description:
At 559 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from
over Hazel to over Lake Poinsett, or along a line from 8 miles
southwest of Goose Lake to over Lake Poinsett, moving northeast at 50
mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Trained spotters reported. At 550 PM, a 72 mph wind gust was
reported just west of Erwin.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.

Vienna around 600 PM CDT.
Thomas, Stone Bridge and Dempster around 605 PM CDT.
Castlewood, Estelline and Poinsett Colony around 610 PM CDT.
Instruction:
Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure
and stay away from windows. These storms have produced widespread
damaging winds and are capable of producing large hail.
Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter
immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built
structure.
