Description:
At 641 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from
over Dakota Sioux Casino to near Bullhead Lake, or along a line from
8 miles east of Florence to 13 miles north of Clear Lake, moving
northeast at 50 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and small hail. There will be two waves of
winds, with the first on the leading edge of the storm, then
a second area on the back side of the storm.
SOURCE...Trained spotters reported. At 629 PM, a 69 mph wind gust was
reported 1 mile to the east-southeast of Watertown. A 70 mph
wind gust was reported at the Watertown Airport at the same
time.
IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Instruction:
Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure
and stay away from windows. These storms have produced widespread
damaging winds.
Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter
immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built
structure.
