Southeastern Pennington County in west central South Dakota... * Until 1100 PM MDT. * At 1007 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from 6 miles northwest of Elm Springs to 10 miles northeast of Scenic, or along a line from 37 miles northeast of Rapid City to 40 miles east of Rapid City, moving east at 15 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. * Locations impacted include... Wall, Wasta, Owanka, Elm Springs, Wicksville and Curlew Lake.
