At 1220 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Black Fox
Campground, or 16 miles south of Lead, moving east at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Half dollar size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Damage to vehicles is expected.
Locations impacted include...
Flag Mountain, Black Fox Campground, Crooks Tower and Deerfield
Reservoir.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing large hail.
This storm is producing large quantities of hail. Driving through
deep hail is like driving on slushy roads. Slow down and do not brake
suddenly.
