rain have fallen in the warned area over the last 3 hours. While
additional heavy rains aren't expected in the immediate future,
runoff continues to cause flooding issues. Emergency management
reports that flooding issues are still occurring in parts of
southwest Greene county in the Caney Branch area, and flooding
continues to be a problem in the Parrottsville and Del Rio areas in
Cocke county. As such the flash flood warning has been extended.

highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Round Mountain and Hartford.
This includes Interstate 40 in Tennessee between mile markers 431 and

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or
creeks.
