Description:
At 459 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2
and 5 inches of rain have fallen, with the heaviest rain occuring
just west of I-35E in Lewisville.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the
warned area. The most likely locations to be impacted from the
additional rain extend from Coppell to Irving, then eastward to
Carrollton and Farmers Branch. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Irving, Carrollton, Frisco, Lewisville, Flower Mound, Coppell, The
Colony, Farmers Branch, Southlake, Highland Village, Addison, Lake
Dallas, Lake Lewisville, Hickory Creek, Double Oak and Bartonville.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
