The National Weather Service in Midland/Odessa has extended the

East Central Pecos County in southwestern Texas...
Northeastern Terrell County in southwestern Texas...
* Until noon CDT.
* At 1042 AM CDT, Doppler radar continued to indicate showers and a
few thunderstorms in the warned area, but were starting to decrease
in coverage. Emergency management has reported flash flooding on FM
2400 and along some roads east of State Highway 349 in northeastern
Terrell County. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen during
the past 1 to 2 hours over parts of the warned area. Additional
rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible. Flash flooding is
already occurring.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.
SOURCE...Emergency management reported.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

349 and FM 2400.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
