North Central El Paso County in western Texas... * Until 615 PM MDT. * At 416 PM MDT, Persistent thunderstorms with heavy rainfall continue to affect parts of northeast El Paso, particularly north of Spur 601, and around Loop 375 at Dyer. Rainfall rates of 2 inches per hour have been observed, and gauge reports are nearing the 1 inch mark. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low- lying areas.
