...The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio TX has issued
a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Texas...
Guadalupe River at Hunt affecting Kerr County.
Cibolo Creek at Sutherland Springs affecting Karnes and Wilson
Counties.
Cibolo Creek Near Falls City affecting Karnes County.
San Antonio River near Floresville affecting Karnes and Wilson
Counties.
Seco Creek At at Rowe Ranch Near D'Hanis affecting Medina County.
Hondo Creek At King Waterhole at Hwy 173 affecting Medina County.
Nueces River Near Asherton affecting Dimmit County.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE...Seco Creek at at Rowe Ranch Near D'Hanis.
* WHEN...From this afternoon to early tomorrow afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding reaches lowest
areas of the flood plain with no significant damage.
At 19.0 feet, Moderate lowland flooding impacts secondary roads
and low bridges making them dangerous to auto traffic. Livestock
should be moved from low areas of the flood plain. Lowest homes in
D'Hanis are threatened.
At 23.0 feet, Major flooding causes Seco Creek alone (without
Parker Creek) to approach homes in D'Hanis. If Parker and Seco
Creeks are flooding, all of D'Hanis may be under water and several
feet deep in homes in the west part. Highway 90 is severly flooded.
At 24.0 feet, Seco Creek alone (without Parker Creek) floods the
lowest homes in D'Hanis. Nearly a mile of Highway 90 is flooded
with significant damage. If Seco and Parker Creeks are seriously
flooding, all of D'Hanis is under water.
At 28.0 feet, All homes west of the brick plant in D'Hanis flood
due to Seco Creek alone, with up to five feet of water. If Seco
and Parker Creeks are flooding, all of D'Hanis is under several
feet of water with up to six feet in lowest homes. This is a life
threatening event.
At 32.0 feet, Life threatening massive flooding occurs in all of
D'Hanis. Flow is several feet deep down Main Street and businesses
have several feet of water. Some homes in the western part have
nine feet of water in them. Miles of Highway 90 flood with major
damage.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1:15 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 19.5 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 13.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 1:15 PM CDT Wednesday was 19.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 30.7
feet late this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage
just after midnight tonight.
- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
30.6 feet on 06/22/1997.

Instruction:
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
To escape rising water, take the shortest path to higher ground.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
