...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Texas...
Sabinal At Sabinal affecting Uvalde County.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Sabinal at Sabinal.
* WHEN...Until early Friday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 24.0 feet, Major lowland flooding from the headwaters
to the Frio River confluence. Very dangerous to campers upstream
near Utopia. Many secondary and primary roads and low bridges are
flooded and dangerous.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 12.1 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 7:30 PM CDT Wednesday was 18.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage this evening
to 10.2 feet tomorrow morning. It will then rise above flood
stage late tomorrow morning to 24.1 feet early tomorrow
afternoon. It will fall below flood stage again early Friday
morning to 6.7 feet Sunday morning. It will then rise to 7.0
feet late Sunday morning. It will fall again and remain below
flood stage.

Instruction:
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
To escape rising water, take the shortest path to higher ground.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
