Tres Palacios River near Midfield affecting Matagorda and Wharton
Counties.
East Mustang Creek near Louise affecting Wharton and Jackson
Counties.
For the Tres Palacios River...including Midfield...Moderate flooding
is forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring.
* WHERE...East Mustang Creek near Louise.
* WHEN...Until late tomorrow morning.
* IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Minor lowland begins as water spills into
the floodplain downstream of the gage.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 19.7 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:30 PM CDT Wednesday was 19.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
late this evening and continue falling to 5.4 feet Monday
evening.
- Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
19.7 feet on 07/16/2003.
