increased in duration for the following rivers in Texas...
Cibolo Creek at Sutherland Springs affecting Karnes and Wilson
Counties.
Cibolo Creek Near Falls City affecting Karnes County.
* WHAT...Major flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Cibolo Creek near Falls City.
* WHEN...From this evening to late Sunday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding of crop and
pastureland damages irrigation pumps and any equipment near the
channel. Livestock are cut off in low areas.
At 21.0 feet, Livestock are cut off and potentially drowned in low
areas below Stockdale to below Panna Maria. Lower areas of Goliad
State Park downstream flood.
At 25.0 feet, Major lowland flooding of crop and pasturelands cut
off many livestock and potentially drown them. Widespread flooding
reaches secondary and primary roads, low bridges and crossings.
Most of the Goliad State Park facilities downstream are under
water.
At 27.0 feet, Major lowland flooding of crop and pasture land
above Stockdale to the San Antonio River confluence. Cuts off
hundreds of cattle and potentially drowns them. Most roads and
bridges near the river flood. Nearly all the facilities of Goliad
State Park downstream flood and are severely damaged.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:15 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 5.7 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 6.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
this evening to a crest of 26.4 feet late tomorrow evening.
It will then fall below flood stage late Sunday morning.
- Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
26.3 feet on 03/14/2007.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
