Nueces River At Laguna affecting Uvalde County. * WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Nueces River at Laguna. * WHEN...Until early Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, Major flooding reaches recreation camps between Camp Wood and Uvalde. Secondary and primary roads and bridges and can be life threatening. Livestock should be moved from flood prone areas of the flood plain from the headwaters to Crystal City. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:30 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 21.5 feet. - Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 2:30 PM CDT Thursday was 21.5 feet. - Forecast...The river will oscillate above flood stage with a maximum value of 20.9 feet late this afternoon.
