...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Texas...
Guadalupe River Near Spring Branch affecting Comal County.
Guadalupe River At Comfort affecting Kendall County.
Guadalupe River At Kerrville affecting Kerr County.
Guadalupe River at Hunt affecting Kerr County.
* WHAT...Major flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Guadalupe River near Spring Branch.
* WHEN...Until late tomorrow evening.
* IMPACTS...At 39.0 feet, Major flooding reaches secondary roads and
low bridges near the river making them extremely dangerous to
motorists. The lowest residences flood from Kendall County to
Canyon Lake. Picnic and camping facilities in Guadalupe River
State Park upstream are severely flooded. Roads, marinas, and many
parks and facilities at Canyon Lake flood.
At 43.0 feet, Major flooding reaches several lowest homes below
Comfort to Canyon Lake. Numerous roads and bridges are flooded and
dangerous. Lowest facilities in Guadalupe State Park are severely
damaged. Parks, docks and roads around Canyon Lake are flooded and
damaged.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 21.8 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 25.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
this evening to a crest of 40.1 feet late this evening. It
will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow morning.
- Flood stage is 30.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
42.1 feet on 07/03/1932. The crest is not expected to reach
the level reached in the 07/03/2002 flood which was 43.75
feet.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
To escape rising water, take the shortest path to higher ground.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
