Frio River At Concan affecting Uvalde County. * WHAT...Major flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Frio River at Concan. * WHEN...Until just after midnight tonight. * IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Up to near ten feet of turbulent flow smashes through campgrounds below Rio Frio to Concan. recreational vehicles, autos, and gear can easily be swept downstream. Lowest homes below Leakey to below Rio Frio are threatened. Residents in flood prone areas should prepare to evacuate as emergency officials assess the threat. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 5:30 AM CDT Friday the stage was 10.9 feet. - Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet. - Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage to 16.1 feet late this morning.
