* WHAT...Urban areas and small streams flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Schleicher County in west central Texas... Sutton County in west central Texas... Southeastern Tom Green County in west central Texas... * WHEN...Until 345 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Several structures are flooded and some sand bagging operations are continuing. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. Local media have reported water rescues. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 125 PM CDT, emergency management reported heavy rain in the warned area due to thunderstorms. Flooding is already occurring. Between 2.5 and 6.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Sonora, Eldorado, The Intersection Of Ranch Road 2596 And Ranch Road 864, The Intersection Of Us-190 And Ranch Road 2084, Us-277 Near The Sutton-Schleicher County Line, The Intersection Of Ranch Road 1828 And Ranch Road 915, Adams, The Intersection Of I-10 And Ranch Road 1989 and The Intersection Of Us-190 And Ranch Road 1828. - This includes Interstate 10 between Mile Markers 386 and 423. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
