...Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity and increased in duration for the following rivers in Texas... Devils River At Cauthorn Ranch Near Juno affecting Val Verde County. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Devils River at Cauthorn Ranch Near Juno. * WHEN...From early this morning to tomorrow morning. * IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, (4.9 meters), Flow is well into the flood plain and life threatening to campers near the river from the headwaters to Amistad Reservoir. Low roads and crossings are extremely dangerous along the Devils River and tributaries. Livestock should be removed from the flood plain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 4:15 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 14.6 feet. - Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 4:15 AM CDT Saturday was 14.6 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 15.1 feet late this morning. It will then fall below flood stage this evening. - Flood stage is 8.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 15.1 feet on 10/18/2018. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
