...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Texas...
Devils River At Pafford Crossing nr Comstock affecting Val Verde
County.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE...Devils River at Pafford Crossing nr Comstock.
* WHEN...Until Monday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, (3.0 meters), Widespread flooding is very
dangerous to campers in the flood plain below Juno to Amistad
Reservoir. Equipment and automobiles should be moved immediately
from the flood plain. Livestock should be moved from flood prone
areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:15 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 10.6 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 4.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:15 PM CDT Saturday was 11.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 10.7
feet late this evening. It will then fall below flood stage
tomorrow evening.
- Flood stage is 5.0 feet.

Instruction:
Even 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock you off your feet
and a depth of 2 feet will float your car. Never try to walk, swim,
or drive through such swift water. If you come upon flood waters,
stop, turn around and go another way.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
