Frio River At Tilden affecting Live Oak and McMullen Counties.
For the Frio River...including Tilden...Major flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
This approaches the flood of record.
* WHERE...Frio River at Tilden.
* WHEN...Until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 30.1 feet, This is the flood of record which occurred
on July 10 2002. Disastrous flooding of commercial and residential
buildings in Tilden.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1:15 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 30.0 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet.
- The latest USGS measurement of the stage places the river closer
to 30 ft.
- Forecast...The river is forecast to crest in the next couple of
hours before gradually falling through at least Monday while
remaining above flood stage.
- Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 30.1
feet on 07/10/2002.
