For the Nueces River...including Three Rivers...Major flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Major flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Nueces River near Three Rivers. * WHEN...From Monday evening until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 35.0 feet, Major lowland flooding occurs. Flow backs up minor creeks to the slabs of lowest homes in the River Creek Acres Subdivision, five miles southeast of George West, requiring evacuations. Livestock are cut off and could drown in low areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1:15 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 1.3 feet. - Bankfull stage is 20.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage Monday evening and continue rising to 35.5 feet early Tuesday afternoon.
