Description:
At 509 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 8 miles northwest of Knox City to near Red Springs,
moving south at 15 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Mesonet. At 504 PM CDT, the Knox City Mesonet measured a 71
mph wind gust.
IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include...
Seymour, Munday, Knox City, Crowell, Benjamin, Goree, Red Springs,
Gilliland, Bomarton, Vera, Truscott, Rhineland, southwestern Lake
Kemp, and Copper Breaks State Park.
