Description: 
At 420 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 11 miles northwest of Tooele Army Depot South to near Eagle Mountain. Movement was northeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Tooele, Dugway English Village, Lehi, Draper, Riverton, Pleasant Grove, American Fork, Herriman, Eagle Mountain, Alpine, Bluffdale, Cedar Fort, Vernon, Ophir, Camp Williams, Tooele Army Depot South, Skull Valley, Tooele Army Depot, Bingham Canyon Mine, and Utah Lake. This includes Interstate 15 between mile markers 276 and 291.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
