Description: 
At 441 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 7 miles northwest of Tooele Army Depot South to near Alpine. Movement was northeast at 10 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Provo, Sandy, Tooele, Grantsville, West Jordan, Orem, South Jordan, Lehi, Draper, Riverton, Pleasant Grove, Cottonwood Heights, Midvale, American Fork, Herriman, Eagle Mountain, Lindon, Alpine, Bluffdale, and Cedar Fort. This storm will be capable of producing strong gusty winds on Utah Lake. This will lead to a sudden increase in waves and very choppy waters which will result in hazardous boating conditions. Boaters are urged to seek safe harbor if possible. This includes Interstate 15 between mile markers 268 and 297.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
