Description:
At 610 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 6 miles south of Dugway Proving Ground Test
Range to 20 miles southeast of Fish Springs Wildlife Refuge to 39
miles southwest of Delta. Movement was east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Fish Springs Wildlife Refuge, Dugway Proving Ground Test Range, Kings
Canyon, and Callao.
This includes US Route 6 between mile markers 23 and 60.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
