The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a Fire Weather Watch for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from Friday afternoon through Saturday evening. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zone 493 Central Utah Mountains, Fire Weather Zone 494 Henry Mountains, Fire Weather Zone 496 Color Country Mountains and Fire Weather Zone 498 Grand Staircase. * WINDS...For today...West winds around 15 mph with gusts to 25 to 35 mph. For Friday and Saturday...Southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts 40 to 50 mph with little relief Friday night. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 5 percent today, Friday, and Saturday. Little to no overnight recovery Friday night. * IMPACTS...Critical fire weather conditions are expected. Any new fire starts or existing fires may spread rapidly.
