Description: 
At 620 PM MDT, local law enforcement reported muddy flows in City Creek Canyon originating off of the Cottonwood burn scar in Piute County. Between 0.3 and 0.7 inches fell across upper portions of this drainage from earlier thunderstorms. Flash flooding is already occurring. Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow moving through City Creek Canyon. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms in and around the Cottonwood Burn Scar in Piute County. SOURCE...Law enforcement reported. IMPACT...Flooding of areas in and around City Creek originating in the Cottonwood Burn Scar in Piute County. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... City Creek Canyon downstream along SR 153.
