The Silver King Burn Scar in...
Northwestern Piute County in central Utah...
Southwestern Sevier County in central Utah...
* Until 645 PM MDT.
* At 344 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain over the Silver King Burn Scar, specifically in the
headwaters of Deer Creek. It is possible this storm may also work
into Beaver Creek. Between 0.25 and 0.75 inches of rain have
fallen over the upper headwaters of Deer Creek. Flash flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow
moving through Deer Creek downstream to the Hoovers rest area and HW
89 near milepost 184. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud,
vegetation and other loose materials.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
producing flash flooding in and around the Silver King
Burn Scar.

Instruction:
This is a life threatening situation. Heavy rainfall will cause
extensive and severe flash flooding of creeks...streams...and
ditches in the Silver King Burn Scar. Severe debris flows can also
be anticipated across roads. Roads and driveways may be washed away
in places. If you encounter flood waters...climb to safety.
Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.
Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.
