At 1034 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain in the Paria River Drainage. Between 0.5 and 1.25 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of normally dry washes, slot canyons, and backcountry roads. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... The upper headwaters of the Paria River near Bryce Canyon downstream to the Utah/Arizona border.
