Description:
At 244 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over South Salt
Lake, or near Murray, moving east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Salt Lake City, West Valley City, Murray, West Jordan, Taylorsville,
Cottonwood Heights, Midvale, Holladay, South Salt Lake, Emigration
Canyon, Millcreek, Mount Olympus, Mill Creek Canyon, East Millcreek,
Cottonwood West, Big Cottonwood Canyon, Canyon Rim, Kearns, Salt Lake
City International Airport, and Little Cottonwood Creek Valley.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 15 between mile markers 298 and 310.
Interstate 80 in Utah between mile markers 115 and 134.

building.
Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
