Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of southwest Virginia, including the following
counties, Bland and Tazewell and southeast West Virginia,
including the following county, Mercer.
* WHEN...Until 545 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Overflowing poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 246 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2.5 inches of rain have
fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Blacklick Creek, Daves Fork, Bratton Branch, Bluestone River,
Brush Creek, Big Spring Branch and Crane Creek.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
