Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of North Central and Northeast Washington,
including the following counties, in North Central Washington,
Okanogan. In Northeast Washington, Ferry.
* WHEN...Until 730 PM PDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying poor drainage areas and burn
scar area.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 421 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated band of heavy rain
moving through area. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to
begin shortly in Swawilla Burn Scar including Mount Tolman
Road and Manila Creek and Road.
- Swawilla Burn Scar is the most likely place to experience
minor flooding.
Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.50 inches are
expected over the area. This additional rain will result in
minor flooding.

mainly rural areas of Southeastern Okanogan and Southwestern
Ferry Counties

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Move away from recently burned areas. Life-threatening flooding of
creeks, roads and normally dry arroyos is likely. The heavy rains
will likely trigger rockslides, mudslides and debris flows in steep
terrain, especially in and around these areas.
