The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Tucker County in northeastern West Virginia...
* Until 230 AM EDT.
* At 1128 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain
have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.75 to 1.25 inches in 1
hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy showers.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Parsons, Davis, Thomas, Hendricks, Hambleton, Hannahsville,
Benbush, Blackwater Falls, Lead Mine, Elk, Davisville, Canaan
Valley State Park, Red Creek, Canaan Hgts, Cortland, Saint George,
Pheasant Run, Laneville and Pifer Moutain.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
